It allows you to control all of the basic functions of the system from your phone or tablet which you can mount on your handlebars with a suitable mount.Trying to use a mouse or keyboard while on your indoor training bike can be a tricky task at best so we developed this app to give you easy to follow buttons to control the system and add functionality to the Virtucyc experience in the form of a scrolling Google map on your android device.There are no ads, spam or similar annoyances in this app and there never will be!!PLEASE BE AWARE OF THE FOLLOWING:This app will keep your screen on while it is running - IT WILL DRAIN YOUR BATTERY!! We recommend plugging your device into a charger while using this app to prevent this happening. Please do not leave negative feedback because it drains your battery. A 3 hour ride will drain most devices batteries.This app will only run over a WiFi connection due to the amount of data used by the scrolling map and the mechani used in device pairing. The Windows PC and the android device must be on the same Local Area Network (LAN). If your PC and phone use the same internet connection then you can be pretty sure you are on the same LAN.Permissions used:android.permission.INTERNET (full network access) - needed for communication between your device and the computer the Virtucyc Training System is running on. Also required by Google maps.android.permission.ACCESS_WIFI_STATE (view Wi-Fi connections) - needed to get network information and to determine if Wi-Fi is switched on for your android device.android.permission.CHANGE_WIFI_STATE (connect and disconnect from Wi-Fi) - Switch Wi-Fi on if it is turned off.
