Ajedroid FENViewer scans a FEN record and represents it on a chesoard.In doing so, it checks whether the record conforms to the Forsyth-Edwards Notation (FEN) composition rules.If it does not conform, Ajedroid FENViewer will display as many pieces as it has detected before an unexpected character in the record was found.Ajedroid FENViewer does not check the legality or the coherence of the position recorded in the FEN record.(It is expected to do so in a later version)For example, it will not check some legal basic rules, such as:- There is one and only one king per side.- There are not more than eight pawns or six pieces per side.- The side that is not to move is not in check.- Etc.It will also not check some aspects of coherence of the FEN record given, such as:- There is a pawn of the correct colour on the square in front of the en passant square, and both the en passant square and the square behind it are empty.- The en passant square is on the side that does not have the turn.- The pieces involved in the castlings allowed are in their initial squares.- Etc.Should any of the above circumstances, or other similar ones, occur, this might give unexpected results in the display.If this happens, please check the coherence of the FEN record.If you detect a bug in the app, please report it to the developer:ajedroid.ajedroid@gmail.com
